Is this a referral service, or do I get assigned clients?
Neither, exactly — it's a referral, not a dispatch. live.law can point someone without a lawyer toward attorneys who use the platform, but you establish the relationship yourself, on your own terms, the same way you would with any new client.
How is licensing verified?
Manually, for now — a real person reviews it before your account activates. There's no automated bar-check yet, and we're not pretending otherwise.
Can I set different recording rules for different clients?
Yes. You set a default per state, and you can override it for an individual client if their situation calls for something different.
What does the AI do, and what does it need my sign-off for?
It gives general legal information (the kind of answer any AI would give) and can draft replies to client messages — but nothing goes to a client until you've reviewed and confirmed the exact wording yourself.
What actually reaches me, and when?
Only once a real attorney-client relationship exists with that person. Before that, the AI's general-information answers aren't privileged and don't involve you at all.
